On Friday October 16, 2015 Jeremy
Diamond published an article for CNN called “Hillary Clinton dismisses Benghazi
‘conspiracy theories’ ”. Hillary Clinton has been under fire recently about her
role in the Benghazi attack. However Clinton has shut down the rumors that
there was a “conspiracy theory” about the attack. Diamond gives us some insight
about how Clinton addressed everything that has been going on lately on the
show “The Lead with Jake Tapper” on CNN. She talked about a wide range of
topics from the democratic debate, her top rival Bernie Sanders, her republican
rival Donald Trump, and whether Vice President Joe Biden joining the democratic
race.
Hilary
Clinton also talked about the Benghazi scandal and quoted that “I think it’s
pretty clear that whatever they might’ve thought they were doing, they ended up
becoming a partisan arm of the Republican National committee with an
overwhelming focus on trying to –as they admitted – drive down my poll numbers”.
This is definitely a bold statement
coming from Hilary Clinton and she is shutting down ay Benghazi rumors still floating
around. At the end of the interview Jake Tapper brings up the infamous email
scandal which quite frankly is getting old. She again states that nothing she
sent was marked classified.
Also
Diamond informs us on Hilary Clinton’s thoughts towards her republican rival Donald
Trump and a possible running of Vice President Joe Biden. All Hilary Clinton
really had to say about Donald Trump is that he continues to go beyond the
bounds of what should and shouldn’t be said about other opponents. Trump in her
eyes doesn’t say things that are appropriate. Now onto what she had to say
about Joe Biden possibly running. To sum it up she didn’t say much except he
needs to decide whether or not he is going to run because he does need to think
about timing.
The
author of the article Jeremy Diamond who started out at GW Hatchet which was an
independent student newspaper of the George Washington University. He actually
had a national news story there after he discovered that the university officials
misrepresented the schools financial aid policy. He won the Institute on
Political Journalism Collegiate Journalism Award and a Pinnacle Award from the College
Media Association. He definitely has the credentials to be a reporter and has
many accomplishments to back up his work.
